Through the Fog is a contemporary art series that explores the subtle relationship between perception, emotion, and hope through layered mixed media compositions of glass and canvas. Each artwork is created using painted glass mounted over canvas, designed to evoke the familiar and intimate visual effect of drawing with one’s fingers on a fogged mirror. The imagery appears as if it were painted on humid glass, capturing the fleeting softness and blurred beauty of marks made in steam.
 
This illusion of impermanence contrasts with the solid physicality of the canvas beneath, where each background is individually crafted with textured acrylic paint. These unique surfaces add depth and material richness, allowing transparency, texture, and reflection to interact in a dynamic visual dialogue. The result is an artwork that feels atmospheric yet grounded, delicate yet intentional.
 
At the heart of Through the Fog is the idea of discovering clarity through obscurity.
