“Ashes of the Moment” is a visual exploration of personal freedom, introspection, and the quiet celebration of the present. Each work in the series captures individuals caught in moments of self-connection — scenes where the outside world fades and the focus shifts inward. These are not portraits of stillness for its own sake, but of people fully immersed in what brings them peace, comfort, or joy — whatever that may be.
 
Through expressive figures, raw atmospheres, and a refined use of gesture and light, Esteban Vera constructs a world where identity is affirmed in solitude, and satisfaction is drawn from the simplest of rituals. The characters are not seeking escape, but presence. They represent that deeply human pursuit of carving out space to just be — without judgment, without urgency.
 
Ashes of the Moment reflects a philosophy: that there is beauty in disconnecting from noise, in embracing one's own rhythm, and in finding personal meaning through small acts of self-care, indulgence, or habit.
